Miss Me, But Let Me Go

Miss Me, But Let Me Go
When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me,
I want no rites in a gloom filled room
Why cry for a soul set free!
Miss me a little, but not for long,
And not with your head bowed low.
Remember the love we once shared,
Miss me, but let me go!
For this a journey we all must take,
And each must go alone;
It's all a part of the master's plan
A step on the road to home.
When you are lonely and sick of heart
Go to the friends we know,
And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds,
Miss me, but let me go.

I've been spending the last few days with Jamie preparing things for my Mom's memorial. It will be a simple potluck with friends and family. Jamie and I have been going through photos and I found this poem that seems to fit perfectly. The photo is my Dad's favorite of Mom.

Very sweet poem, Julie and a gorgeous picture of your mom. I'm so sorry for your loss and pray peace for you and your family.

Love you, girl.

I just saw the photo on Facebook and thought it was a photo of a movie-star...she is beautiful! May God take good care of your dear mother. I hope you had a nice Mother's Day...you've been through so much lately with the kids and Rob deployed, it's unbelievable one woman can endure so much.

Your mother is beatiful. She looks like a model in that picture. The poem was very nice as well.
